Alumnus takes highest position in Philippines’s leading newspaper

Taking the highest seat in the newsroom of the leading newspaper of the country, Lourdesian alumnus Jose Ma. Nolasco was appointed executive director of the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI), a new top position according to an article released by Inquirer.net, PDI’s online arm.

The article also mentions, “Nolasco, who served as managing editor the past 24 years, succeeds the late Letty Jimenez-Magsanoc, who led the Inquirer newsroom as its editor in chief since 1992.”

Further, Inquirer.net shared, “Born on Jan. 19, 1954, he spent his elementary and high school days at the Capuchin-run Lourdes School in Quezon City.”

Nolasco is from LSQC Batch ’71.
