Lourdes School Quezon City celebrated the solemnity of its principal patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi and the Capuchin Friars’ Day at the National Shrine of our Lady of Lourdes (NSOLL) on Oct 04, 2023. The Mass was led by Rev. Fr. Roque Aristotle B. Padama OFM Cap., Rector, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey G. Torres OFM Cap., Campus Ministry and Mission Officer, and Rev. Fr. Francisco M. Atienza OFM CAP, Director of Finance.
Following the Mass, the students proceeded to the Blessed Jose Maria de Manila Covered Courtyard for a festive celebration program. The hosts, Kelli Capule and German Sotelo Jr., then introduced each of the Capuchin Friars of the school and the purpose and importance of celebrating Friars’ Day. Rev. Fr. Jefferson Agustin, OFM Cap., Parish Priest of the NSOLL and Rev. Fr. Ernesto Lagasca, OFM Cap., Vicar of the NSOLL, joined LSQC’s Friar Administrators in the said celebration.
Performances from the community—students, employees and parents—wowed the audience with their top-notch talents. Representatives from the employees and the student body (PG, LEAD and LLEAP) handed tokens and gave their heartfelt messages to our Capuchin Friars.
