Campus Ministry

Lourdes School is committed to the integral development of the whole person through its Campus Ministry Program. Thus, the program provides for the spiritual formation of the whole school community through catechesis, reception of the sacraments, faith sharing, counseling, retreats and recollections.

Under the Campus Ministry Program is the Christian Living Area which provides for the catechetical, moral and cognitive learning of the faith. This stems from the mandate of the Church that Catholic schools provide students with the best education and spiritual formation. Also, the school curriculum incorporates in its pedagogical approach to Christian education the Franciscan-Capuchin and Marian spirituality.

The Social arm of the Campus Ministry Program is the Social Action Program which addresses the outreach concerns of the social community. It brings to fruition the Gospel message of love, compassion, justice and peace through meaningful encounter with the marginalized sector of society. Thus, from cognitive learning and appreciation of the faith comes witnessing built on the six core values of Faith, Hope, Love, Truth, Justice and Peace and Service.

Under its liturgical functions, the Campus Ministry Program provides for liturgical and paraliturgical services, contextualized faith sharing, retreats and recollections. Pastoral counseling is offered to students and employees to deepen their sacramental life and faith experience, and weed out the influence of secularism, individualism and moral relativism in their lives. Indeed the Campus Ministry Program is the response of Lourdes School to the challenge of the times – of living the Gospel life in its tradition of holiness, excellence and service.
